Really, I shouldn't have. She changed the lyric in "Ready." Instead of ... "I sit so patiently drenced in all of this shit" it's now "I sit so patiently drenched in all that you want me to be." I'm really, really happy about that. I know they're only 30 seconds clips but my faves based on these are ... - My Life Would Suck Without You (okay, not included or a clip, but I do love the song) - All I Ever Wanted - Already Gone (sad, haunting) - Cry (she sounds soooooooooooooo good!) - I Want you (sounds like it might be a cute, flirty little song -- but it doesn't sound like a Kelly song we've ever heard, has a kinda 60's vibe) - If No One Will Listen (only the third slow one, but I really like it ... as I've liked all the slow ones, again, she sounds amazing) - Ready - Save You (last slow one, but again, really, really nice -- I generally ADORE her slow songs, they really showcase her voice, has a nice refrain and build-up) - Don't Let Me Stop You So that's 9 out of 14 that I already REALLY like. And of the other 14, I can see myself loving 4 of the 5. Based on the 30-second clip, I actually really don't like 'Whyyouwannabringmedown.' Hey, one out of 14 (15 if you count 'The Day We Fell Apart -- I still kinda hate the lyrics of that one, but I love the beat so much.) ain't bad at all. I think this may turn out to be my favorite CD yet -- but then, hey, everyone has been better than the last imo. Anyhoo!! SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ETA: The full songs!!!! I really like "Whyyouwannabringmedown" after listening to the whole thing. Quick thoughts on what I've listened to so far. Also, real quick, even just a second-listen-to to each of this songs makes them better each time. This CD is REALLY AWESOME!!!! - My Life Would Suck Without You is, of course, awesome! - Cry is so sad, but beautiful - All I Ever Wanted is GORGEOUS!!! (My favorite so far) - I Do Not Hook Up is fun and flirty, I like it lots. VERY catchy. - Don't Let Me Stop You is another good one that just gets better with each listen. - Whyyouwannabringmedown, yeah, so I'm LOVING this one now! - I Want You, hmm, well, I love the Kelly parts, but there's this back-up part with the "yeah, yeah, yeah" part that I really don't like and it brings the song down for me. Which I find really bummy because the rest of the song lives up to the 30-second awesomeness, but I REALLY don't like that "yeah, yeah, yeah" part. Eh, I'll get used to it, I'm sure. - If I Can't Have You, another one that I'm absolutely loving!!!!!!!! So good. - Already Gone, God, I love this one! Totally my favorite. So much emotion in her voice, the lyrics, everything, it's just beautiful. It seriously made me tear up. - Save You, this one is beautiful, but I don't think the segue into the bridge works, I'm sure it will become natural and work for me down the road, but right now, it's clunky and I think the song is overproduced after that bridge. Shame because the song was hitting on all cylinders before that. Still, it's a good song. - Long Shot, okay, I LOVE this one too. Damn, this CD is so, so, sooooooooo good. - Impossible, hmm, this one's okay. I think it's my least favorite. A tad generic. Of course, it will grow on me as it's Kelly, but it's not grabbing me now. Only the first one so far, though! That's a good ratio. - Ready,yay, love it, love it, love it!!! So glad she changed the lyric and I actually think the new line is so much more evocative and fits the overall song better. YAY!!! There's a bridge to it also that is awesome (even if I can't make out a few words), it's just WOW!!! - If No One Will Listen, pretty, but again, a bit generic, but still it's Kelly and she sounds so pretty! There are a couple of songs that Kelly co-wrote on that I wonder if they're about Justin. ::sniff:: But, happy, happy, the cd is FABULOUS!! I can't wait to buy it!! WOOHOO!! KELLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm working outta 5 stars. btw if it helps every other that exists i'm judging on a -5 to 0 scale of stars compared to AIEW. I Do Not Hook Up 2 stars. It's a fun catchy song I'm just not so much of a fan. It is a good song but and i will blast it in the car but.. idk and i don't like the whole lyric change of 'keep your hand in my hand' but i do like the whole... note? change at 'With a snap of your fingers'. i like how she holds it out longer and it's a higher note. Cry umm.. 3 stars unfortunately i can't seem to get this in my head, i keep forgetting about it and wouldn't be able to name it if you asked me to. The lyrics are great, I love how it paints a picture in your head. It kinda makes me think of BTHE pt 2. It is a good so it really is, but im not addicted to it. i do love the whole bridge part, it is really beautiful. Don't Let Me Stop You 3 1/2 stars I really like this song, it has a really good chorus. It reminds me of an old song i used to listen to as a child but idk what song it is. "If this is not what your looking you, Nice knowing you but there's the door" is my favorite lyric of the song by far. it's a song i can totally picture myself blasting this to a guy. All I Ever Wanted 4 stars I didn't listen to the Arranda demo so i didn't really know it before and can't compare it. but omg i love this song. it's a different song it really is but i love the chorus, like how it just jumps at you when it first starts. Already Gone 2 stars im just not a fan, i really don't like the song. It's Halo's identical twin sister and I'm not a Halo fan. I find the song boring and tiresome. If I Can't Have You 3 stars It's a fun song it is. and i'm into i just.... idk, i know i'll geek out when i hear it else where but idk. it's a good song and i like how it's upbeat but i find it slightly boring. Save You 2 1/2 stars I really love this song, it's very beautiful but im torn between it being very beautiful and it being boring. i think that i only find it boring cause i'm craving upbeat songs right now. and i know i shouldn't say this but I really liked Aimee singing over Kelly. i don't like the drums in this one too, they sound off and like they shouldn't be there. WhyYaWannaBringMeDown 4.99999999..... stars I love this song. i love how rock it is. and how FU it is. I love how Kelly just tears this up with her vocals. my only thing it just doesn't really fit her voice, but that's the only thing i don't like about it.. Long Shot 2 1/2 stars I really don't like this version. I like Katy's better. i don't like the guitar in this and i just keep Katy's voice when Kelly's singing. i just dont like how the song turned out. Impossible 'the kick boxing songg' 3 stars i'm not a fan, only cause i can't seem to remember this song. but it isn't bad. i like the parts where it's just kelly singing and there's no music, so pretty! Ready 2.2 stars I don't like what was done with this. Demo wayyyy over AIEW version. I Want You 4.89999999999.... stars Love this song, i really didn't think i'd like the whole 60's thing but i love it and the lyrics are really great! it's really cutte! If No One Will Listen 4.7999999999.... stars I love loe love this song. I knew Kelly was gunna kill it and do in amazazing job with it. The song itself is just amazazing and very beautiful and moving. the reason i took .21 off of it was cause i think Keri's voice sounded much better with it, i think i just sounded like Keri's song. omg! look i finished! eee! thiss took me like 2 hrs. damn distractions! lol! I love Listerine and Almonds....... and pens. I love my husband, I promise never to lose you again, but if i do, I promise to lose it... again!
